Left you Hang-in
Ok - so as of today. Still no car. Yes it was impounded. No he doesn't have the money to get it out. Yes I gave him the money. No the stairs aren't finished. But almost. Yes we are getting along right now. Yes he is terribly embarrassed. What more can I say.

As of this morning
I went to the movies with my grand kids and daughter and watched Bratz. It was cute. They dropped me off, no sign of Leeroy and I went to the Bar.
Only three beers. I told the owner that I couldn't drink with him cuz he gives me hang-overs and I had to go to work in the field tomorrow. No word from Leeroy all day. Just him disappearing. So, this is what he wanted, me not running his life. I hear it all the time from him that I am controlling. So I just let it go and worked on me. I am getting so down on myself, it's not even funny. I'm sad mostly and trying always to figure out what the heck I did to him to make him this way. I had a talk with the owner and of course, everyone loves Leeroy. What can I say. One of the guys in the bar tried calling him and he did not answer. Anyway I left at 11:00 and went home to bed. When I got home there was no Leeroy at home and the garage was a mess. I have to park the car in the garage overnight so out of the car I went and cleaned the garage and parked the car.
Well, during the night, or I should say early morning, I was woken up by Leeroy asking for the keys. I gave them to him. He was very angry and slamming doors and things so I just stayed in bed and away from him. He came up and threw the keys on the bed and said "I hope you had fun tonight! I spent six hours in the back a patrol car."
To this I gave no response and stayed in bed.
This morning I woke up and got ready for work and went downstairs to leave. My car was not in the garage. I went to the garage and there he was - asleep. He woke up and looked at me and I asked if he was O.K. He just told me to go on and leave him alone.
I went outside to my car and noticed that his car was not outside. I went to work.

Who could ask for anything more
Today my grand kids were delivered to the house. Ringing the door bell madly as usual. I was in the shower and had to run out and let them in. Got them all settled in and then tried to work on the two computers I have here to be fixed. No dice on either one.
So I guess that was my clue to go out into the field. First stop was the post office where I mailed a package to my sister. She is so wonderful. I will tell you about her later. Anyway, I sent her a bracelet that I got off e-bay and she saw the picture of it and said it was beautiful. So it's hers now. Or in a couple of days.
********************************************
Next I went to go visit my customer in the hospital. This time I did get a picture of her but she looks much better then the picture. She found out she is going to be moved to the rehap center today.
Let me tell you about this client. She was referred to me by the bartender of my local bar. I called her and never knew anything about her. She wanted to keep my services on the downlow so I went along with that. I didn't know what she wanted from me. I do book keeping stuff also so I went with that idea. I met her at a coffee shop in the neighborhood and found out all kinds of things about her. Keeping her privacy I wont go into it. And seeing as I am typing this and working on a computer and it is actually working, I won't say anything. Karma you know. Anyway she handed me all her bills and said here. OKAY. Now what. It was hard for me to understand her as she mumbles alot. And when she whisper mumbles, oh my goodness. I didn't want to sound rude so I just let her talk this way. Anyway, I guess my services were to help her pay her bills on time and get her back in good standings. Good luck Me.
She asked me how much I would charge her and I told her we would work it out after I figured out what she was into. This was a little over a month ago. During the first month of getting her bills paid, I paid for $200.00 worth out of my own pocket. Obviously she over extended herself. But not really. Nothing out of the ordinary other then paying the bills. She actually only has $20.00 left for food every month, if that.
So then the next meeting was set for the next week. I met her again at the coffee shop. She is newly handicapped, I found out. It took her twenty minutes to get into the restaurant. No kidding. The guys in the restaurant wanted to come out and carry her in on a chair. Boy is she stubborn. I told them if they valued their hands they wouldn't even try. We sat and talked and she passed me her bills.
Next visit was at a VFW. No way to see in the bar at 11:00 in the morning. I collected her bills and traveled.
Next visit she wants me to meet her at the bank and she gives me signing authority on her account. She then wants to give me Power of Attorney. I declined on that one. She barely knows me I told her.
Eventually her friend found out about me and now I go to her house. Except I get a phone call from her friend and she tells me she is in the hospital. Which brings you up to speed cuz I have visited her twice now. She cried today. Got me all worn out.
So far I have given her $200 and set her up with one of my customers to get a mobile wheel chair, which is done and waiting for her at her home as we speak. And two visits to the hospital. Can you imagine. I have only known her for a little over a month. I got a feeling there is going to be alot more stories about her.
*****************************
Next I leave there and go to my other customer to drop off their lap top. This customer is the one who sets people up with Wheel chairs. And on my hospital customer's request to contact them and see about a ramp being set up in her home, I do this. Now a few doors down the hall is a good friend of mine. Went to see her and she is in her shop crying. Another draining story. Her mother is sick and she wants to do something nice for her so they could remember each other by. One of her friends horned in on it and is taking all the fun out of it. This lady deserves a medal for the wonderful things she does. Again I will tell you about her later cuz this story is too long.
******************************
Came home to the kids and have been working on computers since. Now I am going to go to the movies with them. Going to see the bratz movie. I'm sure there will be a story there too.
Vist to Methodist Hospital
On August 13, 2007, I went to see a customer of mine. She was admitted to the hospital with brain cyst. I took pictures of the hospital information because I didn't want to make her feel bad with a picture of herself. She is really tough so I know she will be out of there soon. So in the mean time I took these pictures of the hospital.

How to get your stuff back from a SD Card (Maybe)
Tip: One fix for SD card corruption
Sometimes SD cards get corrupted. More accurately, sometimes the files on SD cards — and even the file system itself, which tells the thing that the SD card is plugged into where the files are — get corrupted.
You’d think SD cards and other kinds of solid state flash memory would be incorruptible. Although it doesn’t happen often, flash memory (unfortunately) isn’t immune to this. In the world of digital photography you’ll find lots of apps that rescue photos from corrupted flash memory cards for this reason.
If you ever find that Kinoma Player isn’t seeing all of your files on your SD card, try this first:
- Make an new folder on your Desktop.
- Using an SD card reader (or a utility like Softick Card Export II), copy the contents of the card to the new folder. If you have problems copying a specific folder, copy the files and folders within that folder one by one until you find the culprit.
- Format the SD card, which I recommend doing on your device. To do this, launch Card Info and select Format Card from the Card menu.
- Copy the files from the folder on your Desktop back to your card.
Unless your SD card itself is bad and needs replacing (which is unlikely), this process will often fix corruption issues.
To reduce your chances of SD card corruption:
- Use high-quality, name-brand SD cards
- Avoid software that causes device instability
If you’re experiencing regular crashes on your device, it may be time to do a hard-reset and install your applications one-by-one — Kinoma Player first, of course! — in order to discover which applications or utilities are causing problems.

Today I bought.......
Radio Shack is having a sale on San Disk 4.0 GB Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive. It is the coolest thing I have run into in a long time. Very fast and easy to use and it comes with programs already loaded on it. It's very easy to back up your computer and keep it in sync. Today's price was 34.99. I'm going back tomorrow to get more. I fully recommend it to all.

Bleepin Computers
I have been working on two computers for the last week and a half. Worst of all they belong to brothers. And they don't live together. Today I finally made a break thru with one of them. I could not update windows XP and it had 77 updates for security and 10 for regular software. Here is the cure:
go to run and type the following, hitting enter after each line
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wups2.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dl
restart the computer and then try updates again.
Thanks to Jackfrost64, whoever you are.

my daughters TV
This is day one of my Sunday. My daughter's water heater busted and I have been here all day with Leeroy trying to get it fixed. I have two computers from hell to fix at home. I love my daughter. I just wish I could learn to stop and smell the roses. Enjoy where I'm at, when I'm at there, and relax. Instead my mind is on those blasted two computers I'm not at home fixing. I'll work on it.
Still waiting for the doctor
Ok - so for the many hours that we spent waiting for the doctor to called, this is the scenery which we were lucky enough to be able to see. The only excitement that we had was watching a dump truck pick up the trash.
my daughters doctors door
Spent the day at my daughters doctors. 3 hours. Just to get a blood test. 3 hours. We couldn't even get in the waiting room. It was so packed. 3 hours. That is ridiculous. If you ever, ever ever get Dr. Shah, run for the hills. Kick your feet. Demand someone else. And we won't even know the results till Monday. Did I mention - 3 hours.
